Singapore Airlines announced an investment of S$1.1 billion (around R$4.76 billion) to modernize its long-haul cabins on 41 Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
The project, which will last several years, covers all long-haul and ultra-long-haul (ULR) models.
One of the key innovations will be the debut of a new First Class cabin on seven A350-900ULR aircraft, aiming to set new industry standards for the world’s longest routes.

According to the company, “the new First Class cabin was designed to cater to discerning travelers, promising luxury with enhanced space and comfort.” Business Class customers will also have new seats with more privacy and comfort.
The A350-900’s First and Business Class cabins, designed with ergonomic features and a spacious layout, will be compatible with the seating concepts of Singapore Airlines’ new Boeing 777-9 (777X) fleet.
In addition, the Economy and Premium Economy Class cabins will also undergo a renovation, focusing on comfort improvements for all passengers.

The program of retrofit will be carried out by SIA Engineering Company in Singapore, scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026, starting with the first refurbished long-haul A350-900 aircraft.
The upgrades are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2030, with the A350-900 fleet configured for 42 seats in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy and 192 in Economy Class.
