The State Attorney’s Office, representing the State Attorney General, Álvaro García Ortiz, has demanded that the Supreme Court investigator investigating him for a crime of revealing secrets in the case of Ayuso’s boyfriend summon to testify as a witness. Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, chief of staff of the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

In a 34-page letter, and which EL PAÍS has subsequently confirmed, the State’s legal services want Rodríguez to offer his testimony in the face of “indications that he accessed at least part of the content of the emails.” Shortly after hearing the news, Rodríguez challenged García Ortiz on the social network

The Supreme Court magistrate Ángel Hurtado has an open investigation into García Ortiz, attorney general of the State, for the alleged leak to various media outlets of some emails exchanged between the lawyer of Alberto González Amador, Ayuso’s partner, and the prosecutor who investigates for tax fraud. In this email exchange, the lawyer tries to agree with the prosecutor to pay a fine in exchange for not continuing with the complaint for tax fraud that was being processed following an inspection by the Tax Agency.

García Ortiz maintains that he did not leak those emails. Some of them were published by various media outlets before he had had access to them, which is why the State’s attorney requests that several journalists also be taken as witnesses. To demonstrate that they had access to the emails with information from Ayuso’s boyfriend before the Attorney General, Álvaro García Ortiz. These are eight journalists from The WorldLa Sexta la Cadena SER, Libertad Digital, Vozpopuli, El Diario and El Plural.
