Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hopes that US President-elect Donald Trump will take a different approach to the Middle East during his term than Joe Biden’s administration. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, he added that some of Trump’s messages were troubling. TASR reports according to the Reuters agency.

At present, according to him, it is too early to talk about how Trump might behave. When asked about Turkey’s decision to stop all trade relations with Israel in May, Erdogan replied that Ankara currently has none and does not want to develop them further.

Turkey sharply criticizes Israel for attacks in Middle Eastern countries. However, diplomatic relations were not interrupted and its embassy is still functional. Erdogan also announced that China and Russia signed an initiative proposed by Turkey at the UN to impose an arms embargo on Israel.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan did not rule out cooperation with Elon Musk in the field of technology. Donald Trump announced on Wednesday night that billionaire Musk will lead a new US government efficiency department along with former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

“Musk is an entrepreneur who works in space and technology. Technology is not an area where you can advance alone, you need some cooperation. In the event that opportunities for cooperation arise in this area, joint steps can be taken with Musk,” said the Turkish president.
