Do you often clean waste and still have problems with water draining in the sink, sink or bathtub? Clean up waste in an ecological way and, above all, properly!
Waste cleaning? No problem!
You never know when you’ll need advice on how to clean up waste again, so don’t hesitate and learn at every opportunity. There are many ways. From the very primitive to the very sophisticated.
In this post from the YouTube channel Receptář prima iadeův, Veronika Müllerová will also introduce you to another way of cleaning waste using enzymatic preparations.

Enzyme preparations are ecological and effective
What to add? These mentioned preparations contain live bacteria and producing enzymes. They thereby help the natural decomposition of substances that also accumulate in the waste pipe. It can handle both fats, proteins and other organic substances. The bacteria and their effectiveness are partially similar to those intended for septic tanks, but it is not a completely identical preparation. These different bacteria are living organisms, specific species differ from each other, and they also have different life demands.
Enzyme products are effective and ecological, but they cost something. However, there is still a solution that is significantly simpler and cheaper, yet does not threaten the ecosystem.
Cleaning waste with hot water and detergent
So let’s get back to what’s even better than vinegar and baking soda, which are often used to loosen dirt build-up in the garbage and are also eco-friendly. It’s nothing more than hot water and soap.
This simple method is the recommended prevention of the formation of deposits in the waste pipe, because it is often not just hair and small solid dirt, but above all an oily binder, which is the result of accumulated fats in the kitchen, but also various detergents in the bathroom.
If you see that the drain is slowly clogging and the drain is taking longer than usual, do not wait until the water drain is completely blocked. Let the water drain, perhaps overnight or while you’re at work or school, then pour a pot full of hot water and a little dish soap down the drain.
Since there is a theoretical risk of cracking of sanitary ceramics, a maximum water temperature of around 60 °C is recommended. Of course, sanitary ceramics should withstand significantly higher temperatures, however, the wash basin or sink may have hidden damage or the temperature difference may be too great in the winter months. The thermal shock would lead to cracking, in the most susceptible places.
Hot water can help loosen waste even when other methods and cleaners are used. The use of cold water often slows down the processes and worsens the solidification of grease in the waste. However, the hot water splash cannot be used if you have a sink full of water and the obstruction is too far away to be affected by the hot water mixed with the non-draining liquid in the sink. Therefore, devote yourself to prevention every time you wash the bathroom or thoroughly clean the kitchen.
