In eastern and central Slovakia, we should expect a rare formation of ice on Thursday morning. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) has therefore issued warnings of the first level, which are provisionally valid until 10:00 a.m. in all regions except Bratislava, Nitra and Trnava. SHMÚ stated this on its website.
The meteorologists added that the occurrence of ice is common at this time of the year, but it can cause minor damage. “Ice formation poses a potential hazard to human activities,” they pointed out.
