Robert Fico’s nonsense about the senseless killing of Slavs (commentary by Peter Weiss)

The killing of Slavs was not started by the “collective West”, but by Emperor Putin, who, as Miloš Zeman said on February 25, 2022, committed a crime against peace with his aggression against Ukraine. The Czech president at the time added that the madman should be isolated.

This is the answer to the new and new lamentations of the head of the Slovak government about the “senseless killing of Slavs”. It is precisely for President Putin, whom Robert Fico on second-rate Russian propaganda television recently dishonored, to put it politely, that killing members of the four times smaller Ukrainian nation makes sense.

Furious Putin

For the Russian dictator, the independent Ukrainian state is artificial, and for imperial Russia it represents part of its historical territory. Fico can read it in Putin’s speech at the Valdai club, if he didn’t notice his statement before February 22, 2022. And the Ukrainian nation is part of the Russian nation for this Great Russian historical revisionist.

I don’t know why Robert Fico and his voters no longer believe even the words of the Russian president. By the way, didn’t those who today accuse the West of starting a war in Ukraine claim at the beginning of 2022 that Russia will never invade Ukraine, that this is a hoax spread by American propaganda and American agent Zuzana Čaputová?

The sense of the killing of Ukrainian Slavs by Russian Slavs and members of non-Russian nationalities of the army of the Russian Federation and, most recently, by soldiers from North Korea, who are sent to help Putin by the most vile dictator in the world, Kim Jong-un, is clearer than the sun: Russia is punishing the Ukrainians for not wanting to recognize the Russian imperial and revisionist claims and insist on national distinctiveness and identity and on the independence and territorial integrity of their of the state.

Putin considers it a historical injustice that Ukrainians do not want to be in the sphere of influence and subject to the Russian Federation. He is furious that the democratically elected Ukrainian state representation and the overwhelming majority of the citizens of Ukraine refuse to be part of the restoration of the Russian empire (remember, the collapse of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical disaster of the 20th century…) and the new Russification that their submission to the Russian dictate would bring.
