They also agreed on the coordinated procedure of Slovakia and Italy in the review of obligations under the European Green Agreement. At the same time, he invited Salvini to Slovakia. TASR was informed about this by the communication department of the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic.
Cooperation between the Slovak Republic and Italy is supposed to concern environmental regulations, which, according to the ministry, are destroying Europe’s competitiveness. “In this area, we agreed that our countries will not only exchange information very closely, but also coordinate their procedures on EU soil,” said Taraba.
Salvini in connection with migration and his former position as the Italian Minister of the Interior was called Taraba “an excellent politician of not only Italian, but also European importance”.
During the first day of his visit to Italy, Taraba also met with representatives of the state company Sogesid, which specializes in the removal of environmental burdens.
During his visit to Italy, the Slovak minister will also hold talks with the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilbert Pichetto Fratin, to jointly negotiate the preparation of an agreement on cooperation in the field of removing environmental burdens.
“Italy has made enormous progress in this area over the past period, and we will want to use their experience in removing ecological burdens here in Slovakia.” Taraba added.
