The Court of Instruction number 13 of Seville has summoned Miguel Ángel Guzmán and Diego Vargas, and the current person in charge, Valle García Sánchez, for the case investigating the abuse of emergency contracts by the Junta de Andalucía between 2020 and 2023, when the legal coverage that protected this type of hand-me-down awards had already declined due to the pandemic.

The judge orders that they appear before his court throughout the month of November to be informed of the complaint filed by the Andalusian PSOE for this reason. The magistrate has opened proceedings for an alleged crime of administrative malfeasance that could be expanded if other crimes are discovered during the course of the investigations. The Andalusian PSOE, which denounced the events, considers that the crime of embezzlement of public funds also exists.
