Two weeks ago, the city of Valencia, in Spain, woke up to the streets full of water, as a result of storm DANA. Several people died, others disappeared, not forgetting all the material damage that the storm caused. The last time the Spanish city agreed to this scenario was in 1957.
Both in 1957 and in 2024, it took several weeks to clean the city. Valencia is still recovering from all the damage and 15 days after the storm, there are still cars being removed from garages that were submerged. On these occasions there is also room for surprises and the Valencians were very surprised when they saw a car, over 40 years old, covered in mud, working.
He adds that the classic car, known for its durability and robust construction, looked like a survivor coming out of that garage. “While hundreds of vehicles were buried and inoperable, this car showed that it was still ready to work hard,” says the publication from the same source.
A video has already gone viral on social media showing a person removing a Mercedes that is more than four decades old, covered in mud and working, from the garage. The model in question was manufactured between the 1970s and 1980s and on social media a lot is written about the resistance and durability of this vehicle.
“This could be one of the best Mercedes Benz commercials”, says a user of the former Twitter, now full of mud after DANA in Valencia”.
