The newly elected US President Donald Trump will soon appoint his peace envoy for Ukraine, who will lead negotiations on ending the war with RussiaFox News reported Wednesday, citing claims by several unnamed sources.
One of the sources said that it will be a high-ranking official with a lot of credibility. His task will be to find a solution and reach a peaceful settlement of the war in Ukrainehe added.
According to Fox News, it is expected that it should not be a paid position. For example, Kurt Volker, the former US ambassador to NATO, volunteered as a special representative for negotiations on Ukraine in 2017-2019.
