To live with the killer of her 8-year-old son and let them stay with his corpse for months was sentenced to 50 years in prison. The horrific events unfolded years ago, but have only just been brought to justice, Toofab wrote.
Gloria Williams, 38, of Houston
It all started on November 20, 2020 when her partner beat 8-year-old Kendrick to deathbecause he drank too much water. “He was furiously stomping on his testicles, head and body until he was sure he was dead”the children testified in court.

Gloria then dragged the pile into the bedroom and covered it with a blanket, while not reporting the crime, to collect the toddler’s disability benefits. So she and her partner and three children lived with the corpse until March 2021, when both adults moved out.
From then on, he went to the house infrequently to make sure the children were still there so he could collect the welfare payments. This situation continued until October of the same year, when the older child called the police and reported the murder.
The police immediately rushed to the scene and were baffled, since many flies were flying in the area and it smelled strongly, while the body was in such a state of decomposition that the bones could be seen and the cause of death could not be determined.
The 38-year-old’s partner: “I’m sorry, I didn’t understand”
After statements from the children aged 15, 10 and 7, the police arrested the couple, with the man pleading guilty, while the woman denied everything.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t realize that my son died… No, my boyfriend didn’t hurt him… I was constantly going to see my little ones, but I didn’t know about the conditions they were living in. It probably happened suddenly.” he told authorities.
But reality denied her. For example, a police officer testified: “The house looked like a yippee. There was no furniture, the children slept on the floor. And inside (s.s. In the bedroom where the body of the 8-year-old was found) the absolute horror”.
Gloria eventually pleaded guilty in hopes of a reduced sentence, but is expected to spend the rest of her life in prison.
