Full-backs Alex Telles, from Botafogo, and Dodô, from Fiorentina, were called up by coach Dorival Júnior to be part of the Brazilian team’s squad for the match against Uruguay. The clash, valid for the South American Qualifiers of the 2026 World Cup, will take place next Tuesday (19), at Arena Fonte Nova. The ball rolls at 9:45 pm.
New players arrive due to absences from the and left-back Guilherme Arana. Node the former Grêmio player received his second yellow card and is suspended for the clash against the Uruguayans. The Atlético-MG player suffered a sprain in his right ankle during training on Tuesday.
According to the CBF, both players will present themselves to the team this Friday (15), in Salvador, where the Brazilian delegation disembarked in the morning. With the arrival of Dodô, the question arises as to who can occupy the right flank in Brazil’s last match in 2024. The tendency, however, is for Danilo to return to the starting lineup. On the other hand, the left side should remain with Abner as a starter and Telles as an option on the bench.
