Author of , Francisco Wanderley Luiz, known as “França”, , was never engaged or interested in politics, which only happened in recent years, after the arrival of () to Planalto, in 2019.
The story is from caregiver Margarete Versino, 57, who married “França” in the late 1980s. They lived together for 17 years and had two children.
“He was never involved in politics. He was another person. Over time, he began to change his attitude. And when Bolsonaro lost [em 2022]he went crazy. I think that was where a stronger problem started, you know?”, says the ex-wife in an interview with Sheet this Friday morning (15).
“We tried to tell him: France, this is not normal. But there was no other conversation. He was outraged by the policy. We saw fanaticism”, he says.
“When the daughter [dela e dela] he was in Brazil, in July, and we spent the day together, he expressed a lot of indignation at the people arrested [em função dos ]. He talked too much. We told him that we had to change. We even talked about Jesus to him, my daughter is a missionary. But, in the end, he only talked about politics”, he says.
Margarete says she does not know whether França participated in the 2023 coup acts and stated that her move to was interpreted as an attempt to “escape the problems” in Rio do Sul, where she would face a tumultuous separation with her second partner, Daiane Dias.
In a statement to the Federal Police this Thursday (14), Daiane said that, from the (Supreme Federal Court). But Margarete said the family doesn’t believe that.
“His intention was not to kill anyone, as they said. I’m sure not. He was a good person. It hurt him”, says Margarete.
According to her, França “was always a great father.” The daughter, who is a missionary, is 37 years old and lives in Thailand. The other son, aged 34, is a mechanical engineer and lives in Itapema (SC). França also has a stepson, the son of Daiane Dias, who helped him with his work, at “França Chaveiro”.
“We never stopped being friends after the separation. We were distant for a few years at the beginning, but then we became friends, through our children. He always came to my house. And I never left França’s family. I go to the house every day. my mother-in-law’s house, who is a mother to me. And we are all in shock”, says Margarete.
According to her, França’s mother, aged 89, had to be taken to the doctor twice since the episode.
The family hired a lawyer to work in Brasília, but was still awaiting information about the release of the body for burial.
“It’s a shock for the children to have to accept this, such a tragic end for their father, and something he chose. We end up blaming ourselves for not seeing that he was so sick”, he laments. “We never expected this from him. If you go to all of Rio do Sul, you’ll only hear good things from him.”
