Federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL) was invited to participate in the podcast by Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson, which, posted this Thursday (14), has the title “Is Brazil on the path to becoming Cuba?”

Son of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), Eduardo Bolsoanro released the link of the program on his profile on X and stated that “today bizarre events are happening in Brazil, but tomorrow they could go to your country”.

Lasting almost two hours, the program had more than 40 thousand views this Friday afternoon (15) and addressed topics such as the future of politics in Brazil and the 2026 electionsKamala Harris’ defeat to Donald Trump in the United States elections and the banning of X by Brazil.

Banning content to “reduce the voice of conservatives”

In the show’s introductory cut, Peterson talked about how the powers that be establishment they see Elon Musk as a threat and, indignantly, mentioned how tools like YouTube itself use algorithms to ban content and “reduce the voice of conservatives”.

“O shadowban (ghost ban) wouldn’t be a problem if you had alternative companies on social media”, replied Eduardo Bolsonaro. “If we had the freedom to have a new social media, that would be ok”, he added.

Throughout the program, Peterson also discussed the new digital media that have been replacing the traditional press and how Donald Trump used, probably due to the influence of his youngest son, Barron Trump, aged 18, tools such as podcasts in the election campaign.

“I have reason to believe he has been recommending podcast hosts that Trump has appeared on,” Peterson said, referring to names like Theo Von and Joe Rogan, who have had 50 million views each, “despite the shadowban.”

Eduardo Bolsonaro talks about the reliability of electronic voting machines and the 2022 elections

The program also addressed the functioning of Brazilian politics, as well as the presidential elections and the country’s government structure. Asked about what happened in 2022 and why Jair Bolsonaro lost the elections, Eduardo replied that he needed to be careful with his words “because in Brazil, depending on what you say, you can be considered undemocratic.”

“In the 2022 elections there are two theories. One theory is that the machines we use to vote, because in Brazil the process is completely electronic, you go to a machine developed by the government and you enter your candidate’s number,” he said .

“So you want to vote for Bolsonaro, you type 22 and press the green button, and then you pray that God and someone in the capital, the bureaucrats, count your vote properly. But you don’t have a receipt, you there is no way to retell itfrom auditing this, you just go home and that’s it. Very similar to Venezuela,” said Eduardo Bolsonaro.

Interrupting Bolsonaro, Peterson stated that he was warned before the interview to be careful with legal proceedings within the theme they were delving into. Eduardo Bolsonaro stated that he was not going to talk about this theory and continued his explanation.

“Let’s say that our machine is 100% reliable, but still, in Brazil, who coordinates the elections, who judges everything about the elections in Brazil is a court called the Superior Electoral Court [TSE]. Who is at the top of this Court, who is the president of this Court? He is a minister of the Federal Supreme Court, his name is Alexandre de Moraes. In 2022 it was Alexandre de Moraes”, he said.

“This is the name I want you to keep in your mind: Alexandre de Moraes. This man has a personal problem with my father and with our family, he made a series of interventions in the executive branch and sometimes even in the legislature, in Congress. During my father’s administration. We had a series of conflicts with him“, added Eduardo Bolsonaro.

The federal deputy cited court decisions such as “my father could not open a live broadcast from his cell phone, from his house, because they say that all the other candidates do not have a public house paid for with public money.”

Furthermore, he stated that “we could not say a few words to define our opponent Lula da Silva”, citing the episode in which “Jovem Pan journalists could not say that Lula is a criminal, a thief or that he was not convicted.”

“Even if you believe that the machines we use to vote are 100% reliable, it was not a fair election,” concluded the federal deputy.

The 2026 elections will go through Kassio Nunes Marques at the STF, says Eduardo Bolsonaro to Jordan Peterson

Asked about the future and elections in 2026Eduardo Bolsonaro celebrated the PL’s result in the 2024 municipal elections and explained that his father has been ineligible for eight years due to a decision by the TSE.

“How can we have the expectation that my father can come back and run again in 2026? Because this electoral court is made up of seven judges, three coming from the Supreme Court [STF] and, as I told you, Alexandre de Moraes was in charge. In 2026, Alexandre de Moraes will no longer be on the electoral court. The head in the next election will be Kassio Nunes, who is a minister of the Federal Supreme Court appointed by my father”, said Bolsonaro.

“And the vice-president of the Electoral Court in 2026 will be André Mendonça, who is another judge of the Federal Supreme Court appointed by my father. So we don’t have an expectation that they will work in favor of my father, but that we will have a more balanced to analyze and judge everything, and they can have the opportunity to really work towards a more transparent and fair election”, he added.

Eduardo Bolsonaro also told Jordan Peterson that he believes that “establishment of Brazil is waiting for the United States election”, considering that “a powerful Supreme Court like this is supported by businessmen, billionaires, millionaires, people who certainly have relations with the United States, with houses, accounts in Delaware, whether the whatever. They don’t want to have problems with the US administration, so all of this is on the table.”
