Rubro-Negro da Gávea joins a select group of teams that have already won the competition
Flamengo won the Under-20 Women’s Brasileirão title for the first time in history after beating Botafogo 7-0, on Thursday night (14) at the Luso-Brasileiro Stadium, in Rio de Janeiro.

With this achievement, Rubro-Negro da Gávea joins a select group of teams that have already won the competition: Internacional (with three wins), Fluminense (with one trophy) and São Paulo (with one victory).
The team led by coach Filipe Torres was superior throughout the match and it didn’t take long to open the scoring. In the 20th minute of the first half, number 10 Anna Luiza took advantage of the ball left in the penalty area to hit a bludger that died in the corner. Meninas da Gávea continued to dominate the match and expanded in the 35th minute, when Mariana received a long ball, started at speed, got rid of goalkeeper Zanella and hit the back of the empty goal to score a great goal.
Right at the beginning of the final stage, Flamengo reached the third with a penalty well taken by defender Núbia. In the 22nd minute, Kaylane made a deep pass to Mariana, who advanced very freely into the area, where she hit the ball past goalkeeper Zanella to score for the second time in the match.
In the 29th minute, Meninas da Gávea reached the fifth goal, when Barraca took a free kick from the midfielder and goalkeeper Zanella accepted it after being fooled by the bounce of the ball. However, even with such an elastic advantage, Flamengo continued to attack and scored on two more occasions, in stoppage time, thanks to center forward Pimenta’s eye for goal.
