It will launch strikes to prevent any attempt to transfer weapons from Syria to , Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) spokesman Daniel Hagari said today.
“We are detecting rockets and other weapons used by Hezbollah in its attacks against Israeli territory, which were manufactured in Syria,” Haggari told reporters.
“We will launch attacks on any attempt to transfer weapons from Syria to Hezbollah. We will also hit all infrastructure in Syria that we confirm is being used in the manufacture of weapons for Hezbollah,” he stressed.
Haggari reported that the Israeli armed forces were launching airstrikes from the outskirts of Beirut to Damascus. The IDF spokesman’s statements came shortly after the Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported that an Israeli airstrike hit a bridge in the Qusayr district of Homs province, near the border with Lebanon.
