In 2024, the delivery of services to the indigenous population tripled, including construction of basic indigenous units (UBSi), base centers, accommodation and works on indigenous health homes. There were 46 works until October this year, compared to 14 in 2023.
The North region leads the list, with 28 completed works, followed by the Northeast (7), Central-West (5) and Southeast and South, both with 3 each. The data refers to new works and places that have undergone renovation.
According to the ministry, the works strengthen the structural health network, in addition to providing sanitation and access to quality water.
