Motoboy suspected of drug delivery is arrested in MG police operation

A 26-year-old motorcycle courier, whose identity was not disclosed, was arrested by the Civil Police of Minas Gerais, this Thursday (14), during an operation aimed at dismantling a group of Venezuelan drug traffickers operating in the cities of Contagem and Santa Luzia. , in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte.

The arrested motorcyclist is identified by investigations as one of those responsible for delivering drugs. In addition to his arrest, the agents carried out three search and seizure warrants.

The police action is the result of an investigation that began after the suspect was detained, with the motorcycle, while carrying out a race with another motorcyclist, on public roads, during a delivery.

After being approached, the police carried out a search and found drugs among the deliveries that would be made by the motorcycle courier. However, he claimed he did not know what the merchandise was.

The police did not make the arrest at that time but began investigations. After analyzes carried out on the cell phone of the person being investigated, his probable link with drug trafficking was discovered.

According to the police, “in the gallery of the suspect’s device, several photos were found with a large quantity of drugs of different substances, precision scales, various firearms and videos of maneuvers and driving at high speed, as well as images of conversations indicating that he knew he was transporting narcotics, as well as addresses where he sought and delivered the material, which were also targets of the warrants.”
