PF investigates contents of box found near trailer used by suicide bomber

The director general of the Federal Police, Andrei Rodrigues, said that agents were investigating the contents of a box buried during last Wednesday (13). “We are carrying out analysis and identifying whether it actually belongs to this same episode.”

According to Rodrigues, the trailer was rented by the bomber a few months ago. Agents found explosive materials inside the vehicle.

“The trailer was close to the car in the parking lot. There are several food trailers there. This was another one of them. It was next to the car and the box was also in that same environment”, he explained.

The PF announced that it would investigate the case shortly after what happened last night.

The explosions began around 7:30 pm. The first was in a car that was in the parking lot near Annex 4 of the Chamber of Deputies.

The second was in front of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) building, when Wanderley died after blowing himself up.
