The President praised the prowess of the Ukrainian defenders in the area around the city of Kupiansk.
Next week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to present a ten-point plan regarding, among other things, energy supply and weapons production in order to ensure the internal security of the war-torn country. It was announced by Zelensky himself in a regular video message on Thursday evening. TASR informs according to the DPA agency.
Zelenskyy did not provide details. In his message, however, he spoke about the front line and praised the prowess of the Ukrainian defenders in the area around the city of Kupiansk.
They repelled the Russian attack
Earlier there were claims that Russian armored vehicles had entered from this strategically important city in northeastern Ukraine, in the Kharkiv region.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army later said that a Russian attack in the area had been repulsed. DPA reminds that reports from the battlefield could not be independently verified immediately.
Russian troops occupied Kupiansk between February and September 2022; the city was subsequently retaken by Ukrainian soldiers.
