Prince William Heckled On Northern Ireland Campus - The Viral Snap

Prince William faced boos and jeers as he left Ulster University Belfast’s campus center after a visit this afternoon.

The 42-year-old Prince of Wales smiled and waved as the students shouted passionately in the background. Video shared with X by Belfast Telegraph reporter Kurtis Reid shows Britain’s future king facing a “less than warm reaction” as he made his way to the car carrying him.

The gathered students appeared to demand more action from the prince on “Palestine and Gaza”, with the social media clip concluding with chants of “Free Palestine”. In February, William called for an end to the fighting in Gaza in an unprecedented royal intervention, writing that the “terrible human cost” of the conflict had “far too many dead”.

“I, like many others, want to see an end to the fighting as soon as possible,” the Prince had said. He also stressed the desperate need for more humanitarian support for Gaza’s civilians while calling on Hamas to release its remaining Israeli hostages.

On previous visits to the university, William he was received by adoring crowds on his face. Other reports said the king laughed at the cheers and whistles directed at him.

William had a busy schedule during his trip to Northern Ireland. In the afternoon, he visited the University of Ulster’s Belfast City campus center to meet students learning about visual production and visited the state-of-the-art studio .

The studio is part of a drive by the University to train the next generation of creative professionals, which is estimated to contribute £1.4bn. pounds to the local economy and employs more than 24,000 people.
