Orchidsaretropical plants that survive in our homes. However, they are highly sensitive to high temperatures and humidity levels. In these conditions, it is common for spots to appear on the leaves, which can be a sign of fungus and compromise the plant’s health.
Fortunately, Informe Brasil reports that one of the most effective methods for eliminating fungus in orchids is to mix cinnamon and honey. The process is simple. Start by bringing half a liter of water to the boil.
Then add three cinnamon sticks to the water. Wait 10 minutes and strain. Then add a spoonful of honey, 250 milliliters (ml) of water and 30 ml of 70% alcohol.
Finally, simply use a absorbent cotton dipped in the mixture to wipe the affected leaves and you’re done.
