Turin – Crowd favorite Jannik Sinner underlined his title ambitions at the ATP Finals with a perfect group phase and knocked former champion Daniil Medvedev out of the tournament. In the new edition of the Australian Open final, the Italian world number one prevailed 6:3, 6:4 and celebrated his third victory in the third game in front of his home crowd. Thanks to the help of the American Taylor Fritz, Sinner’s entry into the semi-finals was already certain before his final singles. Due to Medvedev’s defeat, Fritz moved into the semi-finals alongside Sinner.
