The bidet is becoming an increasingly popular fixture in Polish bathrooms. Many people see it as a great convenience in taking care of the hygiene of intimate places.
Some would love to see a bidet in their apartment, but it turns out that in a small bathroom there is simply no room for it. In such a case, a washing toilet bowl, which combines the functions of a traditional toilet and bidet, turns out to be an excellent solution. More and more modern models of this type are available for sale.
A washing toilet bowl is an ideal solution for people who would like to be able to use a bidet on a daily basis, but do not have the space for one. It provides convenience and a high level of hygiene, while being easy to use and taking up the same amount of space as a classic toilet bowl. It is more expensive than a toilet without a washing function, but its purchase is also more cost-effective than investing separately in a bowl and bidet. For many people, it is also more convenient than two separate devices: there is no need to get up and change.
How does a washing bowl work?
From ordinary toilet bowls, the washing bowl differs primarily in that there is a shower outlet inside it. After using the toilet, you can immediately use the bidet options – a special nozzle slides out and directs the water jet to the right place. Thus, the washing toilet bowl provides a much higher level of hygiene than the traditional use of toilet paper.
The water can be heated, and its pressure can be adjusted, allowing you to customize the way it works. Usually such toilets also have a washing function for women.
Depending on the model, you can change the toilet’s settings with a mobile app, remote control, buttons or a dial. Some bowls also have a number of advanced features to make it easier to use, maintain hygiene or cleanliness in the bathroom, such as:
- pre-spraying of the inside of the bowl, which usually activates automatically when the user is detected and is designed to help wash away waste,
- accidental start protection, so that the washing system will only work if it detects a user sitting on the board,
- an intimate area drying function after washing,
- sensors that heat the seat or illuminate the bowl when the user enters the toilet.
Instead of a new toilet – a washing toilet seat
However, if you are not planning to renovate your bathroom or buy a new toilet bowl in the near future, you can also enjoy the advantages offered by this type of multifunctional device. After all, an alternative to the washing toilet will turn out to be a special board, which is placed on the bowl.
Thanks to an extendable nozzle, it allows you to rinse your body after using the toilet. The washboard thus works just like a bidet and eliminates the need for paper. The shower function is activated by a remote control or a button on the side panel. Top-of-the-line models also have a number of additional options, such as air freshening and backlighting, useful when using the toilet at night.
