There are things you have to wash after you buy them or, at the very least, before you use them for the first time. Want some examples? Experts quoted in BestLife have listed three things you should wash as soon as you get home. Take a look at the list.
Three things you should wash before wearing for the first time:
- Clothes. They can be “teeming with various types of organisms from the moment they are produced to the moment they are sold,” warns Philip Tierno, a clinical professor of microbiology and pathology at the Grossman School of Medicine at New York University in the United States;
- Bed linen. “You’d be surprised how dirty a factory floor can be and these germs and pathogens can easily get into your new bed linen,” warns Delah Gomasi, the executive director of MaidForYou;
- New kitchen utensils. It is important to “remove any residual manufacturing oils or polishing compounds that may still remain on the cookware,” reads the website of cookware retailer Royal Prestige.
