In full promotion of his new album My Sang (whose release particularly moved her as she reveals in her Instagram story to be found in our slideshow), the singer-songwriter enjoyed dazzling success from the start of her career. However, despite the joys of the stage and of music and the happiness in which she has been swimming for several months now, a lack persists in her life: that of find his native Provence and his loved ones. Interviewed by the newspaper Provence on her link with the South-East, Clara Luciani bluntly admits: “It’s catastrophic! It’s a physical lack because I believe that there is also a lack of light, of sun… It is perhaps the only thing that’s not perfect right now in my life, to have time to come down a little“.

She continues by talking about how much she misses her ties to the Marseille city: “My family goes up from time to time, but it’s not worth my trips to Marseille. I remain so attached to this city [Marseille, ndlr] for many reasons, also because I am the godmother of the Maison des femmes de Marseille. As soon as this album release period calms down a bit, I’ll come down at the first opportunity.

Landscapes of Provence that inspire him

The landscapes of the South and the atmosphere of Martigues, his hometown, nicknamed the “Provençal Veniceremain engraved in the singer’s heart. From her fishermen’s house on Rue Margueridette to walks along the Saint-Sébastien canal and the Etang de Berre, every corner of this region connects her to her roots. As a teenager, she moved with her family to Septèmes-les-Vallons, a milestone that she describes as more difficult, but which would inspire her future songs. She also returned to sing in her region at the Théâtre des Salins in Martigues, a scene which symbolized for her a return to her roots. For this, Provence is also a source of inspiration artistic. For his first album Sainte-Victoireit was while contemplating the famous mountain of Aix-en-Provence that she found the title of her project. She also celebrated her region in her music video The restfilmed in Sanary-sur-Mer, where she dances and strolls under the Mediterranean sun.
