The President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, announced this Friday the appointment of Steven Cheung as presidential advisor and communications director at the White House.
Through a statement, Trump announced the appointment of his presidential campaign’s former communications director to this position. In the previous Republican Government (2017-2021), Cheung worked as director of strategic response.
It is not yet known, however, who will serve as White House spokespersonone of the most visible faces of the United States Government.
In the same statement, Trump announced the appointment of Sergio Gor as advisor to the President and director of the presidential personnel office.
Gor was previously Executive Director of Winning Team Publishinghaving also directed the Right For Americaa fundraising committee for the Trump campaign.
“Steven Cheung and Sergio Gor have been trusted advisors since my first presidential campaign in 2016 and continued to champion ‘America First’ principles throughout my first term, until our historic victory in 2024,” Trump declared.

The Republican also nominated as his chief of staff, John Ratcliffe as director of the CIA (Foreign Secret Service Agency), Elise Stefanik as ambassador to the UN and, as ‘border czar’, Tom Homan – considered the brain behind the controversial policy of separating migrant families at the border with Mexico, during Trump’s first term.
