The first lady, Rosângela da Silva, was upset this Friday (14) during an event linked to the , when the music festival she helped promote was called “Janjapalooza” by a woman in the audience.
“Who was at the festival?”, she asked, during the launch of the Racial Ethnic Equality Platform at the conference, which brings together the world’s largest economies and emerging countries.
“Janjapalooza,” shouted one person, a nickname that refers to the independent rock festival Lollapalooza.
There was laughter from the audience, prompting a response from the first lady. “No, daughter, it’s the Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty. Let’s see if you can understand the message, okay?”
The objective is to bring together successful experiences in combating inequality and promoting social development.
