Brazilian João Fonseca booked his place in the semifinals of Challenger Lyon, which took place this Thursday (15/11), in France.
The tennis player faced the Spanish Martin Landaluce, the same age, and won the match by 2 sets to 1.

Now, in the semifinals, he will face Frenchman Calvin Hemery, 29 years old, number 237 in the rankings. The game takes place this Friday (11/15).
How was João Fonseca’s victory?
At the beginning of the first set, Fonseca broke the Spaniard’s serve. A second break from the Brazilian increased the advantage to 4-1. In 40 minutes, he closed the partial 6-2.
In the second set, Fonseca started breaking serve again, but his opponent fought back. With a second break, the Spaniard complicated the set for Fonseca and, in 43 minutes, he equalized the score.

In the third, Fonseca had a little more difficulty. In one of the last games, he was scared when he fell and needed medical attention.

Fonseca returned to the match, taking the dispute to a tie-break. The match remained balanced, but in the last game, the Brazilian managed to win 10-8.
