The body of an 18-year-old young man was found by the Fire Department on the Paranaíba River, in Patos de Minas (MG), last Friday night (15).
According to the corporation, the young man had been missing since early afternoon. The body was located approximately two meters away from the river bank, approximately 1.5 meters deep.
The rescue operation, which involved specialized teams, began after receiving information indicating the young man’s possible death and the disposal of his body in the river.
The Civil Police began the investigation, while the Fire Department carried out sweeps in the waters in search of any trace that could lead to the location of the victim.
According to the corporation, “the authorities continue to work on the case, focusing on elucidating the circumstances that led to the young man’s death, which is still being investigated.”
According to authorities, the young man was the victim of homicide and there are suspicions that his body was thrown into the waters of the Paranaíba River.
