Popó accepts challenge from Pablo Marçal during fight between Jake Paul and Tyson: ‘I’m going to crush him’

Popó confirmed that he accepted Marçal’s challenge live, during the broadcast on the Netflix platform, and also sent a message to the streaming service where he was invited to act as a commentator. “I accept. If Netflix agrees, we’ll do this fight within Netflix. If you want to do my fight with Marçal, we’ll be together”, said the four-time world champion.

Afterwards, he still made a point of provoking the politician. “I’m going to beat him and knock him out. I want to see if you’re going to be that guy to take that beating,” said Popó. Confirmation does not happen by chance. It is nothing new that Marçal has been making advances to the boxer for a possible fight between the parties.

Popó and Marçal have already sketched out a face-off, a traditional pose that occurs when two fighters are about to step into the rings and mats. It is usually done during press conferences or weigh-ins. In this case, the act took place during an auction at the Neymar Institute, held in June this year.

Popó held his official fight in October this year, during the Fight Music Show 5 event. It was his first engagement after dispatching Kléber Bambam. On that occasion, he struggled to beat Jorge “El Chino” Miranda in the main fight of the card, winning by decision of the judges. “The Argentine is very experienced, but I have nothing to prove to anyone. If Marçal is here and if he came today, if he is man enough to accept his words, get up here in the ring and speak to this audience and to all of Brazil who are watching us”, said Popó, on the Combate channel after the fight. Before defining the card, the influencer challenged him to a fight “This is my last official fight. Now only if it’s Pablo Marçal and that’s it.”
