This was the fourth and final Supermoon of 2024, the next one will only happen in about a year.
The week ended with a Supermoon that lit up the skies in several parts of the world. Vietnam, Egypt, Venezuela, Italy, Tunisia, China, were some of the places where it was possible to observe the Moon, its color and size.
This was the fourth and final Supermoon this year. To see the next ones, you will have to wait until October 2025.
The phenomenon results from the combination between the Full Moon phase and perigee, that is, the point in the orbit where the star is closest to planet Earth.
