Villa Vie Residences launches “Skip Forward” package for $40,000 annually, allowing Americans to sail through the entire next presidential term
announced a “temporary getaway” program that allows Americans to embark on a 4-year cruise trip. The announcement came one day after Donald Trump’s victory in the United States presidential election was declared.
“Although the campaign was planned before the election results, we have a perfect product for those who said they would leave the country if ‘XYZ’ won the election”said Mikael Petterson, CEO of Villa Vie Residences. He stated that many of his clients are conservative in orientation and that “We may have different political views, but our community comes together through a passion for exploring the world in a way that goes far beyond politics.”
While promotional material avoids directly mentioning Trump’s presidency, Villa Vie has a history of aligning its offerings with significant political events. The company’s 2-year cruise program, for example, was called “Mid-Term Selection”, in reference to the 2026 American legislative elections, while the 1-year package received the suggestive name “Escape from Reality”. (Escape from reality).
Anne Alms, sales director, highlights that the cruise allows “see the whole world at a slow pace”with stops at more than 425 ports in 140 countries. Villa Vie also recently launched the “Endless Horizons” program, aimed at retirees concerned about inflation, offering a permanent housing alternative at sea.
