Why should F1 reduce the number of races in Europe?
According to Stefano Domenicali, executive director and president of F1, the category will invest more in new markets, meaning that Europe may lose space.
— We have news to share very soon about the possibility of rotating some GPs in Europe in the medium term and other options. It is true that we have a wide demand for new possible tests wanting to enter and our choice will always be a balance between economic benefits and growth in markets in which we see potential for our business,” he stated.

Countries such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar, in addition to two new races in the USA, in Miami and Las Vegas, recently entered the calendar, which now has 24 races. New countries want to enter, including Argentina, South Korea and Thailand. The financial proposals, superior to those of current races, contribute to the decision being made.
With this, the idea would be to rotate GPs in Europe, such as Belgium and the Netherlands, which do not have government assistance to keep them on the calendar, the same situation as Madrid, which enters the circuit next year.
What are the next races of the F1 season?
