Asphalt on a highway in the interior of Acre threatens to give way and worries residents: “it is sinking”

Residents of the municipality of Epitaciolândia, in the interior of Acre, reported this Sunday (17), about a concern with one of the main highways.

According to information, with the large volume of recent rain, the asphalt at the location, on BR-317, at KM 265, close to the city, threatens to give way and completely close the road.

“It’s falling here in Monte Santo. Let everyone know. The asphalt is falling. Look at the pile of water on one side and the other. It’s a lot of water, let people know”, says the owner of the publication.

The DNIT Regional Superintendence in the State of Acre published a note this afternoon talking about what happened and asking truck drivers to avoid traveling in the area temporarily.

See note:

Due to heavy rain, there was a partial break at KM 265, on BR-317/AC, which caused part of the shoulder to collapse. We ask all truck drivers to TEMPORARILY avoid passing by while our teams continue to the location to carry out the necessary maintenance.
