The Brazilian team comes from three consecutive games without defeat in the Qualifiers. Brazil beat Chile and Peru, in addition to being tied 1-1 against Venezuela in the last round. Dorival Júnior’s team is fourth, with 17 points. In the first round, Uruguay beat Brazil 2-0.

The Seleção will have some absences for the duel. Right-back Vanderson received his second yellow card and is suspended. In his place, Danilo should be a starter. Other new additions are full-backs Dodô and Alex Telles, called up after Vanderson’s suspension and Guilherme Arana’s release.

Gerson missed the last training session due to a stomach problem, but it shouldn’t be a problem for the game.
