Santos Futebol Clube is the champion of Series B of the Brazilian Championship. This Saturday (16/11), Peixe secured the cup without entering the field. Novorizontino conceded a 1-1 draw against Paysandu and Santos, so they are right as new owners of the cup.
Peixe had already gained access last Monday (11/11), after beating Coritiba. In addition to access and the cup, the Series B title guarantees a place in a more advanced stage of the 2025 Copa do Brasil.

In which phase of the Copa do Brasil will Santos enter?
With the victory of Série B, Santos will enter the third phase of the Copa do Brasil 2025. This is a bonus given by the CBF as a form of incentive.
Peixe already had a place in the first phase assured, due to the runner-up in Paulistão 2024, but will take a two-phase leap in the next Copa do Brasil.
It will be Santos’ return to the Copa do Brasil. This year, the club did not participate in the competition, after failing to secure a place in 2023.

How much is the prize for playing in the third phase of the Copa do Brasil?
With a place in the third phase of the Copa do Brasil, Santos guarantees the prize paid to all clubs involved in this stage. In 2024, participation in the third phase paid R$2.2 million to each club present.
What are the CBF prize values in Series B?
The CBF has not yet defined the values it will give to each club after the end of the competition. According to the “Trivela” website, this should only be defined in the week of the last round of the championship, which will be on November 24th.
For comparison purposes, in the last two seasons the entity divided R$5 million between the four clubs that managed to get a place in Series A. The champion kept R$2.5 million, that is, half of the total amount.
