The visit of the President of the United States to Rio de Janeiro mobilized a security scheme worthy of a leader of the greatest world power.
Staying at the Hilton, in the Leme neighborhood, the agent has an operation coordinated by the US Secret Service, in partnership with the Federal Police and the Military Police of Rio de Janeiro.
In addition to the barriers set up and police reinforcement, one of the highlights of the operation is the presence of security in buildings around the hotel.
According to information obtained by the report, these elite snipers have the mission of neutralizing any threat from a distance, with the support of high-precision equipment and direct communication with teams on the ground.
Another central element of security is the vehicle used by the president, known as “The Beast”. It is a super-armored limousine based on the Cadillac One, designed to withstand attacks ranging from gunfire and explosions to chemical threats.
Weighing around 9 tons, the “Beast” is built on the chassis of a Chevrolet Kodiak pickup truck, with a combination of steel, aluminum and ceramic, which is up to 20 millimeters thick.
The windows have 12.7cm multi-layer glass and the fuel tank is coated with a special foam to prevent fire in the event of an impact.
Internally, the vehicle is a true bunker on wheels. The area designated for the president is completely sealed, protected against chemical attacks and equipped with advanced communication systems, as well as a blood supply compatible with the head of state in case of a medical emergency.
The journey between the Hilton hotel and the Museum of Modern Art (MAM), where part of the presidential agenda is planned, will be done in just 10 minutes with the support of scouts, who guarantee fluidity in traffic and traffic.
The route includes roads that are monitored and previously inspected by security agents.
Leme, a normally quiet neighborhood, is surrounded by constant lockdowns and sweeps, including the use of sniffer dogs and drones for aerial monitoring. Residents reported changes in routine and intense movement of security agents, but understand the need for the measures.
Hilton’s choice reflects not only comfort criteria, but the location’s ability to adapt to the strict requirements of the American government.
Experts point out that the combination of cutting-edge technology, precise logistics and highly trained professionals makes this one of the most sophisticated protection schemes in the world.
The operation will continue until the end of the president’s official agenda in Brazil, reaffirming the authorities’ commitment to ensuring absolute security for everyone involved.
