The singer Ed Motta, 53, spoke out on his social networks after the confusion generated at his show this Sunday (17), at Festival Rock The Mountainwhich took place in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro.
At the time, the artist got angry with one of his team’s employees and suggested that he was fired, while performing in front of the audience. “You’re out man, I told you you were going to stay, but this is the last show you’ll do”, he quotes the employee, in a video that was published on X, the old Twitter.
In the images, the employee still tries to get closer, but Ed Motta stops him, saying: “Get away from me, get away from me.” This behavior generated reactions on social media. On What a rude guy. I’ve never seen that.”
On Instagram, a fan also commented: “I was at the show and I didn’t find the artist’s attitude of bringing the problems that were happening to the public to be elegant or respectful. I went to see the show and enjoy the songs and with each new song a new friction appeared. Disappointed! Furthermore, his attitudes towards his team were very ugly, including ‘firing’, in front of the entire public, a person from the production, whom he exposed in a careless way.”
Ed Motta then decided to explain himself and responded to the last comment, which was made in his most recent publication. In addition to apologizing to his fans, the artist mentioned that there should have been more “cockroach blood”.
“They were less careful and professional with me. Everyone receives the same fee, the level of mistakes made today compromised my performance and consequently the band’s.
It wasn’t a simple thing, a small thing, it was serious, serious. But you’re absolutely right, I should have a sharper emotional intelligence (cockroach blood). I apologized for what happened at the show and I apologize again to you and everyone present,” he wrote.
In June, the singer went live on Instagram. On that occasion, he also spoke out and apologized for his speech.

Hunting here, we found this video that doesn’t cover the listening to music part but the dismissal (?) of the roadie and the booing. 👇🏽
