Representative Eduardo Suplicy has recovered from lymphatic cancer and continues his fight for Basic Income, with the support of friends and doctors.
The state deputy, from São Paulo, shared positive news about his health: he has been cured of cancer of the lymphatic system, which was diagnosed in July this year. After a period of four months of treatment, doctors confirmed the remission of the lymphoma, although he still needs to undergo a session of immunotherapy and maintain partial isolation due to his reduced immunity.
Cured, Suplicy emphasized the importance of continuing his fight for the implementation of Basic Citizenship Income, not just in Brazil. “If I had dreams before, now they have only gotten bigger! I will not rest until I see the Basic Citizenship Income instituted in Brazil and around the world”, said the deputy. He expressed gratitude for the support he received from friends, family and colleagues throughout the treatment process, which was instrumental in his recovery.
Lymphoma, which is a type of cancer that affects cells in the lymphatic system, was treated with an immunochemotherapy regimen. The deputy was under the care of hematologist Celso Arrais, who supervised the entire treatment. Suplicy highlighted the importance of medical monitoring and research in the fight against cancer. With the good news of his recovery, the PT member is optimistic and determined to resume his political and social activities. He believes that his experience can serve as an inspiration for other people facing similar challenges, reinforcing the need for support and solidarity in difficult times.
