The country’s leading energy transmission company is adopting a new institutional brand, changing its name to ISA CTEEP. The company’s ticker on B3 is also changing: from (preferred shares) and TRPL3 (common shares) to ISAE4 AND ISAE3, respectively, as of the November 18th trading session.
The new identity reflects the company’s expansion throughout Brazil, in addition to directly associating it with its sector of activity. The movement also strengthens the company’s purpose of leading the energy transition in a sustainable way, generating value for society and shareholders.
Founded 25 years ago, ISA ENERGIA BRASIL is responsible for transmitting high voltage energy, through extensive networks of lines, from generation plants to substations for delivery to distributors, who are responsible for delivering energy to final consumers. Present in 18 states, the company is responsible for 30% of all energy transmitted in the country, a rate that reaches 95% in the state of São Paulo, and has more than 1,600 employees.

Its network is made up of 28 thousand kilometers of circuits in operation and 3.4 thousand kilometers under construction, including its own assets or assets jointly controlled with partners, and 129 own substations in operation, in addition to eight under construction.
From São Paulo to Brazil
The company began its activities in 1999, in the State of São Paulo, as a result of the split from Companhia Energética de São Paulo (CESP). Initially called Companhia de Transmissão de Energia Elétrica Paulista (CTEEP), it operated under the control of the state government, with the mission of ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of electricity to various points in São Paulo.

In 2006, it was privatized and became controlled by Interconexión Eléctrica SA (ISA), one of the largest electricity transmission companies in Latin America. The new management implemented investments and modernizations that increased operational efficiency and the company’s ability to meet the growing energy demand in Brazil.
Since then, ISA ENERGIA BRASIL has expanded its operations beyond the borders of São Paulo, launching new projects and accumulating a portfolio of 35 concessions across the country. With a strategy focused on sustainable growth, innovation and modernization, it has been investing in reinforcement and improvement projects and standing out in auctions. It has established itself as a market leader and as one of the main driving forces behind the national energy transition

The company also stands out among investors. With solid cash generation, it seeks to offer stability and security to investors, being classified as Investment Grade by Fitch, with an AAA (bra) rating. Focused on maximizing value creation for shareholders, it maintains the practice of paying shareholders 75% of regulatory net profit, balancing growth and distribution of earnings.
It is one of the most innovative companies in the sector, responsible for several important advances. Among recent milestones, it implemented the first large-scale energy storage system (batteries) in the Brazilian transmission system.
It also developed the first substations with a digital and 4.0 concept, revolutionizing the processing and use of management data for decision making; and will install, in a pioneering way in the country, FACTS technology (Flexible Alternating Current Transmission Systems) in transmission lines, optimizing the use of existing lines by eliminating bottlenecks through the redirection of energy flows.

Its availability and operational performance rates are above the references established by the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL).
The company is also committed to environmental, social and governance sustainability practices, developing biodiversity conservation and climate change mitigation programs that are a reference in the energy sector, such as the Jaguar Connection Program.
With the new name of ISA ENERGIA BRASIL, and identified by the tickers ISAE4 and ISAE3, on B3, the company seeks to follow the same path of sustainable growth, based on innovation, efficiency and modernization with a focus on the energy transition and generating returns for shareholders and society.
