It will be held in Banská Štiavnica on Monday afternoon city security control. The reason is a threatening e-mail, for which all schools in the city were also closed. The municipality informed about it on the social network.
Security checks will be carried out in the streets of Banská Štiavnica from 13.00 to 15.00 h. All schools and educational facilities in the city were also closed at noon. “We ask residents to to keep calm, not to panic and not to spread alarmist and false news,” said the town hall.
The regional police also confirmed for TASR that the situation regarding the threatening email in Banská Štiavnica was being investigated. “Necessary measures are being taken. No further information will be provided by the police,” stated the spokeswoman of the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Banská Bystrica, Petra Kováčiková, with the fact that the measures are also implemented in other districts of Slovakia.
