CRB beat Santos 2-0, this Sunday (17/11), in a game valid for the 37th round of Series B of the Brazilian Championship. Peixe entered the field already champions, but had their party atmosphere cut short by the result. CRB got what they needed to escape relegation.

Santos x CRB: how it was

Already champion of Series B, Santos entered the field motivated. After ten minutes, the match at Vila Belmiro was stopped. The fans’ banners, which during Series B were upside down, returned to normal. While images of PelĂ© played on the screens, the number 10 shirt was held up by captain Diego Pituca, announcing the return of the number, which was not used this year.

However, even with all the excitement from the fans, CRB was the one who opened the scoring, six minutes later. The goal was from Labandeira. In the 33rd minute, Santos found the net, with Guilherme, but he was offside.

CRB scored the second at 18 minutes into the second half, with Kleiton. The goal was the trigger for protests against coach Fábio Carille.

Even with Santos trying to create opportunities and not leave with the taste of defeat, the chances were blocked by the Alagoas defense.

The second goal of the match also went to CRB. This time, 18 minutes into the second half. Anselmo Ramon headed the ball, and Kleiton moved goalkeeper Gabriel BrazĂŁo before sending the ball into the back of the goal.
