Series C 2025: discover the 20 clubs that will compete in the tournament

With the end of the 37th round of Series B, Ponte Preta, Ituano, Brusque and Guarani had their relegations confirmed and join the other 16 teams that are already in Series C in 2025.

In addition to those relegated from Series B, the competition will also feature Anápolis, Retrô, Maringá and Itabaiana, who promoted from Series D in 2024.

The other 12 teams that remained remain in the competition, which is scheduled to begin on April 13th and should conclude on October 26th, according to the 2025 calendar published by the CBF.

Format

Series C of the Brazilian Championship will have 27 dates in 2025 and will feature the current model, with a round of consecutive points, in 19 rounds, and followed by a knockout phase.

During the 2024 season, the 20 clubs in Series C discussed the possibility of changing the format of the competition. The proposal was to adopt a model similar to that of Series A and B, with two rounds of consecutive points, totaling 38 rounds.
