The state deputy (-SP) announced this Saturday (16) that he has recovered from a disease in the lymphatic system that had been diagnosed in July.
“After four months of battle, my lymphoma was finally in remission. I continue the treatment, there is still one session of immunotherapy left, and as my immunity is very low, I maintain partial isolation”, wrote Suplicy in a post on the social network Instagram .
“But, if I had dreams before, now they have only increased! I will not rest until I see the Basic Citizenship Income established in Brazil and the world!”, he added, referring to the main banner of his political career.
Suplicy also recorded a video during a visit to the event to thank the support received during the treatment.
“I am very grateful to all those people who have been rooting for mine to be the best possible for me to return to full work there, and wherever,” he said.
In July, a type of cancer that affects the cells of the lymphatic system, a vital part of the immune system.
Considered a rare and aggressive disease, it was detected early, which gave the PT member good treatment prospects.
He was treated with immunochemotherapy, which combines traditional intravenous medications with others that stimulate the body’s defense system to attack cancer cells.
