Leskovac/Warsaw – Austria’s national soccer team will be drawn from pot one in the draw for the qualifying groups for the 2026 World Cup and will avoid duels with Europe’s major powers. At the end of the Nations League, both Serbia and Scotland missed out on making it to the quarter-finals. The Serbs, who depend on a win, played 0-0 against Denmark on Monday. Scotland won 2-1 in Poland, but second place was not possible for the British due to Croatia’s 1-1 draw against Portugal.
