Donald Trump consider different candidates Secretary of the Treasury. According to The New York Times, the new candidates are Kevin Warshformer governor of the Federal Reserve and billionaire Marc RowanCEO of Apollo Global Management, an influential Wall Street asset management fund. Trump will meet with both this week.
With these names at stake, the president-elect thus rethinks the list of candidates he had. Until now, Trump was expected to choose Howard LutnickCEO of the Cantor Fitzgerald company and head of his presidential transition team, or Scott Bessantfounder of the investment firm Key Square Capital Management and former fund manager of George Soros. Elon Musk has supported Lutnick, but internal sources tell the NYT that he has lately “gotten on Trump’s nerves.”
