Ceará reached 63 points and 19 wins, surpassing Sport, which also has 63 points but 18 wins. Thus, Vôzão only depends on themselves in the last round to climb to the first division. Ceará’s decisive game will be against relegated Guarani, away from home, on Sunday (24/11).
América-MG parked in 9th place, with 55 points, with no chance of access. Coelho ends its journey in Série B 2024 also on Sunday, against relegated Brusque, at home.

Ceará x América-MG: how it was
The game started electrifyingly. In the first minute, Saulo Mineiro disarmed Lucão and came face to face with goalkeeper Elias. The attacker covered the number 1, but the ball was very strong. He even got to it to finish, but kicked it out.
América also lost defender Ricardo Silva to an injury in the first minute. However, the visiting team had a chance with Alê, with a header, in the eighth minute, but the ball went wide.
The match had balanced actions until the 24th minute. That’s when Erick Pulga counterattacked, from midfield, and passed to Aylon, who was brought down in the area by Rodriguinho. Three minutes later, Saulo Mineiro took the penalty and made it 1-0 for Ceará.
After opening the scoring, Ceará loosened up and had more opportunities, including a goal from Erick Pulga disallowed for offside. The team closed the first stage with seven shots, compared to the opponent’s three.

The second half started like the first, with a great chance from Ceará in the opening minute. Erick Pulga received the ball inside the area, dominated and finished, but Lucão saved almost over the line.
After the missed chance, Ceará started to value possession of the ball, without advancing much. América, in turn, tried some descents, but didn’t show much inspiration.
At 34, Ceará had bad news. Saulo Mineiro felt his left calf after finishing, had to be replaced and became a doubt for the last round of Series B. At 39, another “heart break” for the local fans. Adyson took a corner and hit the post, almost equalizing for América-MG. However, despite the scares, the night belonged to Ceará.
Ceará x América-MG: goal
Ceará opened the scoring in the 27th minute of the first half, with a penalty. Aylon was brought down in the area after a pass from Erick Pulga and Saulo Mineiro came forward to collect. On the beat, he kicked into the right corner of Elias, who jumped to the other side. It was Saulo Mineiro’s 11th goal in Série B 2024.
