A 49-year-old man faces charges of theft. The Trnava regional police reported about it on the social network. “The thief should have posed as a customer and pretended to make a purchase. When the saleswoman selected a display stand with gold chains, he was supposed to take it from her hands and leave the jewelry store without paying,” the police added, saying that the man had to sell almost 155 grams of gold and use the money to pay the rent.
“Criminalists, together with the police officers of the district department from Dunajská Streda, through operative-search activity and analysis of camera recordings, shortly afterwards found out who was responsible for the theft. They quickly identified the 49-year-old man from the Dunajská Streda district,” the police added. If found guilty, he faces up to four years in prison.
