Flamengo’s board of directors removed striker Gabigol, under the allegation that he is “formaintain the harmony of the red and black squad after the important fifth title in the Copa do Brasil and give peace of mind to coach Filipe Luís”.
Filipe Luís has 11 absences for the game: Léo Ortiz, Gerson and Varela, related; Pulgar, De la Cruz, Carlinhos and Arrascaeta, in the medical department; Allan and Bruno Henrique, suspended, and Gabigol, removed.
With the absences, the team will be assembled with three defenders and Matheus Gonçalves in midfield. On the left wing, there is uncertainty about Ayrton Lucas or Alex Sandro.
Flamengo is still trying to have a suspensive effect to have Bruno Henrique in the match. The striker was suspended two games for his expulsion against Corinthians in the Copa do Brasil. Lorran is the favorite to accompany Michael in attack if the club is unable to release Bruno Henrique.
